Cooky wrote:Yeah, Cekoni, I find it funny how you've become a fan of ontd_skating! It's unusual for me to see things from it posted on here, hahaha...
Cooky wrote:Also, I would kind of love to see Lysacek and Plush skating together. I'm still bitter about Vancouver, but I can't hold anything serious against Lysacek... he's not one of my absolute favourite skaters, but he seems like a nice guy....

If you look at the credits, the other "Russian" characters are called Vladimir too (and Putin!) - I have a feeling the filmmakers were unaware of any other Russian names (though you'd think they'd think of something like "Ivan" at least)
I do like Evan to an extent, but he is very much an American media puppet - he seems perfectly nice and I'm sure he is, but he suffers more from product placement and sponsorship namedropping than any other skater and I think that makes him come across as less personable than the others - he lacks personality...
cekoni wrote: Lack of character is enough reason to throw him out from the "sympathetic" skater's ... the filmmakers did not have to think about it, but Evan had, and how he has now courage to look Plushy in the eyes?
Furthermore:
- agreed to act under the surname of his opponent and colleague
- accept the role, which the caricature of his colleague and the entire nation, with the old chauvinist prejudices...
... it is not enough, to simply describe him as a bad man?
P.S. and enough about him!
