Do know if it is true, I have read from GS or FSU, that is actually a practice rink which only has 3 rows of seats......

I asked them. They have only around 700 seats.

NRW Trophy 2012 is sold out!
The OC team experienced unprecedented demand for the tickets after they went on sale at 3pm this afternoon, and all of them were snapped up in just 6 1/2 hours. Congratulations to those lucky ones who scored tickets for the competition! We are working on the confirmations of your requests and will probably finish to reply all mails on thursday. We feel sorry to close the ticket sale - we wish everyone could be there but there just isn't room!
If tickets will be returned, we will announce it on the website and on facebook and sell them again.

МОСКВА, 14 ноя - Р-Спорт. Олимпийский чемпион по фигурному катанию Евгений Плющенко выступит на турнире NRW Trophy в Дортмунде, который пройдет 5-9 декабря, сообщает официальный сайт соревнований.
В нынешнем сезоне Плющенко на официальных турнирах Международного союза конькобежцев (ISU) пока не выступал. Он в сентябре принял участие в открытых прокатах сборной России в Москве, а в начале октября съездил на однодневный коммерческий турнир в Японию. Действующий чемпион России и Европы ранее сообщал, что намеревается защитить эти звания в нынешнем сезоне.
В заявке турнира NRW Trophy в Дортмунде также числятся россияне Константин Меньшов и Артур Гачинский.

МОСКВА, 14 ноя - Р-Спорт, Андрей Симоненко. Олимпийский чемпион Евгений Плющенко примет участие в турнире NRW Trophy в Дортмунде, если ему позволит состояние здоровья, заявил агентству "Р-Спорт" тренер фигуриста Алексей Мишин.
Фамилия Плющенко появилась в заявке на официальном сайте соревнований в Дортмунде, которые пройдут 5-9 декабря. В нынешнем сезоне действующий чемпион России и Европы пока не принимал участия в официальных соревнованиях Международного союза конькобежцев (ISU). В сентябре он выступил в открытых прокатах сборной России в Москве, а в начале октября - в однодневном коммерческом турнире в Японии.

"Один международный старт до чемпионата России у Евгения будет, и мы наметили его на Дортмунд, - рассказал Мишин по телефону. - Однако сейчас Женя находится в Германии и занимается своим здоровьем, вчера ему была сделана определенная процедура. Так что его участие в соревнованиях в Дортмунде будет зависеть от рекомендации врачей".

Вопрос о выступлении Плющенко на турнире NRW Trophy будет решен в начале следующей недели, пояснил специалист.

"На ближайший понедельник у нас запланирована следующая тренировка, в ходе нее этот вопрос и будет решен", - заключил Мишин.

В заявке турнира NRW Trophy в Дортмунде также числятся россияне Константин Меньшов и Артур Гачинский. Соревнования совпадают по срокам с Финалом Гран-при в Сочи, куда в мужском одиночном катании сохраняет шанс попасть только один российский фигурист - Сергей Воронов.

Plushenko Likely to Skate in Germany

MOSCOW, November 14 (R-Sport) - Health permitting, Evgeni Plushenko's first competitive skate of the season will be at the NRW Trophy in Germany next month, his coach told R-Sport on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old Olympic champion was expected to compete first at the Russian championships starting December 24, but has now added the December 5 event in Dortmund to his schedule.

"Evgeni will have one international event before the Russian championships, we've settled on Dortmund," Alexei Mishin told R-Sport.

Plushenko's participation in the second-tier event will depend on how he recovers from a medical procedure he recently underwent in Germany, Mishin said without elaborating.

"So whether he'll take part will hang on the doctors' recommendations," Mishin said.

Plushenko is returning to competition after a knee operation in the wake of the European championships in January, where he won the gold medal.

His action this season has so far been limited to the team-based Japan Open last month, won by local star Daisuke Takahashi, and his own 30th birthday party, where he skated despite a slight fever.

The NRW Trophy, held since 2007, clashes with the Grand Prix final in Sochi, which is December 6-9.

I'm in Dortmund and I can tell you the truth about the ice rink. I visited the NRW Trophy since it started in 2007. Until 2009 it was free to visit, then the first time they have made ticket prices but just 5 Euro a day, which I think is very fair. Actually, there were so far just very few real visitors, the 3 rows were mostly filled by skaters, coaches, friends and parents.

NOW just two Olympic Champions are on the entry list and everything changed and went crazy. I AM NOT going there just for these two but all of them. I like them all the same. I just got an ticket by very lucky circumstances. Because I never bothered about it, because NO ONE was really interested to watch it!

There are just about 150-200 seats, I never counted but there isn't more. This competition was never made for the big stars and large audience. It is the practice rink used for Worlds 2004. Besides this rink is another Eishockey rink, that is much larger, there can be about 5000 spectators. But it is impossible to move the competition to the other rink, because it is an ugly icehockey rink, that is open at the sides, so very cold.

So you should be able to see at least the practices, but I don't know how they organise it.

AND btw, this is a very small venue, so you can meet the skaters anytime anywhere, so it might be worth going there anyway ;)

МОСКВА, 26 ноя - Р-Спорт, Андрей Симоненко. Олимпийский чемпион по фигурному катанию Евгений Плющенко не примет участия в турнире NRW Trophy в немецком Дортмунде, на который он изначально заявился, сообщил агентству "Р-Спорт" тренер спортсмена Алексей Мишин.

Турнир в Дортмунде пройдет 5-9 декабря. Ранее Мишин говорил, что участие Плющенко в этих соревнованиях зависит от рекомендаций врачей.

"Женя в Дортмунде не выступит, - сообщил Мишин по телефону. - Сегодня организаторы получат официальное уведомление о том, что он не сможет принять участие в турнире. Только что закончился период реабилитации, мы провели всего лишь третью тренировку после того, как он десять дней не катался после операции под наркозом".

По словам тренера, Плющенко "будет искать возможность" принять участие в каком-либо официальном старте до чемпионата России, который пройдет 25-28 декабря в Сочи.

Перед началом сезона Плющенко заявил, что намеревается принять участие в чемпионатах России и Европы, а чемпионат мира он планирует пропустить.
