Dear Evgeni Viktorovich,

I'm so happy to finally have the opportunity to suggest music to you! I have a great passion for music and I would love to suggest some of my favorites for you. You can of course see how Edvin does with arranging some of these if you want.

Most of my suggestions are music selections from films. I love film music, and would love to see you use some things like the following:

"City of Angels" by Gabriel Yared (title track "City of Angels")
You would portray a character simila to Faust.

"Shakespeare In Love" by Stephen Warbeck (track "News of Marlowe's Death")
You would portray a murderer who is asking God for forgiveness.

"The Ten Commandments" by Elmer Bernstein (track "Prelude")
You would portray the Pharoah.

"Interview With The Vampire" by Elliot Goldenthal (any of the score would be SPECTACULAR for you!)
You would portray Louis, Lestat, Armand, any of them would be fitting for you!

"Cutthroat Island" by John Debney (anything from the soundtrack would be wonderful for you)
You'd make a great pirate!

"Ben Hur" by Miklos Rozsa
You'd make a great charioteer!

"Star Wars: Episode I" by John Williams ("Duel of the Fates")
I would love to see someone finally do this justice!

"Star Wars: Episode II" by John Williams ("Across The Stars")
A beautiful love theme, you would portray the feeling and idea of lost love.

"Star Wars: Episode III" by John Williams ("Battle of the Heroes")
Like Duel of the Fates it would be great to see you use it.

Perhaps Edvin could re-do your Carmen program, with his special touch!

I think also some of Mozart's work would be wonderful for you. Some friends have compared you to Mozart, and I certainly see the parallels between you. He has written some wonderful music as I'm sure you know. I hope you look into his work. I think Beethoven would also be wonderful for you.

So far that's what comes to mind. I hope you consider some of these!

There's a lot good music to figure skating:
1) "The Last Samurai" soundtrack;
2) "House of flying Daggers", soundtrack: get songs, edit and use them: the peonyhouse - lovers (flower garden) and farewell;
3) The soundtrack of the movie "Last the Mohican" is so good, but only if "you" know how edit.

(The movie is a little bloody, though ... Actually I haven't seen this movie yet, but I think I should.)

(This movie is about a musically talented girl growing up in a house with deaf parents. It's serious, but fun and lovely.)

я уже кое-что предлагала, а вот следующая идея: романс "Любовь и разлука". Известный и многими любимый, сам по себе великолепно исполняемый (его изумительно поют и Е. Камбурова, и А. Малинин, - вам, скорее всего, именно он подойдет лучше всего, эмоционально), - так вот, в вашей интерпретации он может стать настоящим чудом. В нем есть те взлеты, которые так захватывают в ваших программах, и потом сама тема очень подошла бы именно вам, она и легкая, и вдумчивая одновременно. во всяком случае, сердца смотрящих дрогнут, это точно!

при вашей искренности по отношению к публике, примете вы что-то из предложенного или нет, даже не столь важно - в любом случае вам будет приятно получить столь же теплый отклик. имхо, многих ваших поклонников и (особенно:) поклонниц привлекают не только гениальное во всех отношениях катание, но в первую очередь человеческие качества - потрясающее мужество и просто ослепительная страсть к преодолению...в этом вы абсолютно великолепны! ведь каждый несет в себе свою боль, и каждому нужно где-то набираться сил, чтобы жить и не сдаваться...вот вы и даете нам эти силы. А еще... мне кажется, именно любовь зрителей способна лечить вас от тех ран, что вам наносят судьба и спорт, как и от тех что вы наносите себе сами... может быть, именно поэтому вы так открыты и в творчестве, и в жизни в целом...

Ideas! We all have sooo many! So to make a long story short:
Music: Manos Hatzidakis "Portrait of my Mother" or "When the clouds come" or "Dance with my shadow" if classics are what you are keen on.
I would also go for classic rock like Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. Someone suggested "The Piano" soundtrack and that's surely a brillant idea
Costumes: everyone seems to be in the same line of thought, that is keep it simple sir! Simplicity is the queen of choices for the king of ice-skating therefore ....no more silver pleeease!

Hi Evgeni, I'm Brazilian and his VERY fan. I thought a lot before writing to you. I liked when you asked his fans to give opniões ... I especially do miss their crazy performances, those that I went to sleep smiling, so I would recommend Lady Gaga - Alejandro (short program). I'm sure you would make a presentation super funny and beautiful as always. But it also has a very beautiful song in my humble opinion is that Switchfoot - Sing It Out (long program). This song has a beautiful story and is very sentimental. I think one of your strengths in skating is the interpretation, so I'm sure you Enterpret brilliantly, making an unforgettable performance ... I hope you think well on my choices which were made very carefully and with all my heart.

Oh and sorry to have written in Portuguese, is much more difficult to learn the Russian language than to learn to skate ...
