In Vancouver 2010, Chan was not even close to the podium (nor any other Canadian skater 2001) ... now, when the Canadian public think that Chan is the best skater EVER - Plushy will have "no chance" for a fair and objective attitude towards him - nor by judges, even with the presence of any "sympathy" from the local audience - do not forget that Canadian audiences never cheer against their own athletes ... unlike the Russian

... also, the whole atmosphere around Plushy in Canadian media will be MUCH worse than at the Olympics



P.S. I am totally indifferent to Artur - just watch him more and more, as a rival to Plushy

Cekoni, don't underestimate the platinum superpower, ok? The platinum light can turn the audience into believers. Evgeni needs some nice programs by Camerlengo, health, a little bit of luck (or a lot of luck? ) and the success will follow!

Вот выдержка из него о Жене:
- А у вас не было сожаления, что в Ницце при блистательном прокате без медали остался Брайан Жубер?

- Было. Потому что Брайан - из разряда фигуристов, благодаря которым люди приходят на стадионы. Как и Евгений Плющенко. Можно кататься очень красиво, замечательно исполнять вращения, шаги, и оставить зал равнодушным. Публика ведь всегда идет туда, где она получает эмоциональный заряд. Думаю, что если бы в одной программке значилось "Евгений Плющенко и Брайан Жубер", а в другой - "Патрик Чан и кто-нибудь еще", публика пошла бы на Плющенко и Жубера.

- Несмотря на то что оба по нынешним временам считаются не очень "компонентными" фигуристами?

- Сказать, что они "некомпонентные", я, как судья, не могу. Что такое, например, performance? - это не что иное, как энергетика, которую фигурист своим катанием передает зрителям. В этой части тому же Плющенко или Жуберу нет равных. У обоих достаточно высок уровень хореографической подготовки. Слабым звеном нашего фигуриста всегда были связующие шаги между элементами, но должна сказать, что в этом сезоне он подошел к своей подготовке очень серьезно и практически устранил этот недостаток. По крайней мере прикрыл его так, что это не бросается в глаза. После проката Евгения на чемпионате Европы я сама видела, что у многих людей на глазах были слезы. Хотелось просто встать и снять шляпу.

И вообще,чтобы не говорили ...да,были там некие моменты после Ванкувера ....но на мой взгляд Алла Шеховцова ценит и очень уважительно относится к Жене.
Вспомнилось,как мы бродили за Женей по Ледовому в Одинцово 4 сентября, и она навстречу идёт. Жене улыбается,распросила его как он?....Он ей сказал и спрашивает:"зал хореографии наверху? Правильно иду?"
Она ,улыбаясь,ему ответила:" Вы Евгений,всегда на правильном пути!"

А судя по интервью, А.Шеховцова Жене симпатизирует!

AS: I was. Brian is one of the skaters who people would come to see. Like Pluschenko. One can skate beautifully, perform all the jumps and steps, but leave the crowd cold. Everyone likes to see emotions. I reckon if there were two shows with Joubert and Pluschenko vs Chan and someone else the crowd would rather see Pluschenko and Joubert.

EV: Even though their components are not considered high?
AS: As a judge I can't say their components are not high. For instance, what is `performance'? It's the energy the skater projects to the crowd. No one can compare to Joubert and Pluschenko in that. Both their dancing ability is quite high. Joubert's weakest component were always the transactions, but he took it very seriously this year and worked on that. Or at least hid it well enough. After Pluschenko's skate in the Europeans I saw many people in tears. I wanted just to stand up and take my hat off.

Знакомые все лица. Теннисный турнир на призы Губернатора Санкт-Петербурга давно стал смотром спортивной формы знаменитостей. Олимпийские чемпионы, ученые, актеры, общественные деятели. И все это для популяризации тенниса. В спорткомитете города сегодня анонсировали уже семнадцатое по счету сражение, которое пройдет с 15 по 20 мая. Только молодежный театр на Фонтанке обещает делегацию из 5-6 «теннисистов».

Александр Строев, актер молодежного театра на Фонтанке:

«В детстве хотел заняться чем-то серьезным, например, борьбой, а родители отдали в теннис. Понравилось У нас и в театре многие увлекаются. Давно не играл. Начал тренироваться к турниру. Надеюсь на победу».

Иван Никифоров, заместитель председателя оргкомитета турнира:

«Из тех, кто уже дал согласие, известный режиссер Алексей Учитель, Алексей Мишин, известный тренер по фигурному катанию. Евгений Плющенко, если позволит график, будет участвовать. Многие футболисты «Зенита», если график позволяет, принимают участие в нашем турнире».

Губернаторский турнир традиционно проходит в мае на грунте. Помимо традиционных номинаций: VIP-турнир, турнир ветеранов, турнир одиночников-любителей, в этом году ввели и новую. В категории «Прайм-тайм» будут сражаться представители прессы и телевидения.

Plushenko couldn't make me happier! This is the best choice ever!!!! Since last season I hoped for this!
This is the best news for 2012/13 season!

I'm sure we'll see something really great and wonderful.
I'm so happy and proud to be italian like Camerlengo *_*
