Именитые российские и зарубежные спортсмены, среди которых члены Мировой спортивной Академии Laureus Беккер и Фитцпатрик, соберутся в Москве в арт-центре "Ветошный", чтобы еще раз продемонстрировать свою готовность реализовывать в России благотворительные проекты и желание поддержать российских атлетов перед грядущей Олимпиадой-2014.
Мероприятие, которое состоится
31 октября, проводится в партнерстве со всемирной спортивной организацией Laureus. Ожидается, что мероприятие посетят и такие отечественные звезды спорта, как Николай Валуев, Мария Киселева, Федор Емельяненко,
Евгений Плющенко и другие коллеги по спорту и друзья Немова.
"Торжественный прием, который организует мой друг, прославленный спортсмен Алексей Немов совместно с благотворительным фондом Laureus при участии звезд мирового спорта, - это хорошее начало Олимпийского года. Я поддерживаю стремление моих российских коллег сделать спорт доступным для всех людей. Уверен, что это событие даст старт развитию по-настоящему массового спорта в России", - отметил Беккер.
"Будучи инициатором и главным организатором мероприятия "Друзья большого спорта", которое мы проводим в партнерстве со всемирным движением Laureus я ставлю перед собой задачу способствовать активизации в России благотворительных инициатив вокруг спорта", - заявил Немов.
Фонд Laureus Sport for Good занимается сбором средств для оказания финансовой и практической помощи более чем 140 проектам по всему миру, которые используют силу спорта для помощи нуждающимся молодым людям. Организация Laureus известна, прежде всего, благодаря своей ежегодной премии Laureus World Sports Awards.

event, taking place October 31.Renowned Russian and international athletes, including German tennis-player Boris Becker, who has won six Grand Slam titles and the most popular New Zeland regby-player Sean Fitzpatrick, the captain famous team All Blacks and are members of the Laureus World Sports Academy, will gather at the Vetoshny Art Center in Moscow to show again their willingness to realise charitable projects in Russia, and support Russian athletes ahead of the forthcoming 2014 Olympics.
"As an initiator and the lead organiser of the “Friends of Big Sports” event, which we arrange in partnership with the Laureus world movement, I am setting a goal for myself to help promote the charitable sports initiatives in Russia", says Alexei Nemov, Editor-in-Chief of BOLSHOI Sport.
The Laureus World Sports Academy consists of 46 greatest athletes of our time, including Sergei Bubka, Edwin Moses (Chairman), Bobby Charlton, Franz Beckenbauer and other great sports personalities, recognised by the global sports community as living legends. Laureus is mostly known for its annual Laureus World Sports Awards, unofficially called the "Oscars of the sporting world".
The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation raises funds to support, financially and practically, more than 140 projects around the world, which use the power of sport to help young people in need. To support charity initiatives on October 30th young people in need and the members of the Laureus World Sports Academy Boris Becker, Alexei Nemov and the Laureus Sport for Good Ambassadors: Daria Korobova, Anzhelika Timanina and Elvira Khasyanova will take part in basketball and football mini-championships etc.
Honorary guests, invited at the event, include Heads of Ministries and Presidents of Sports Federations of the Russian Federation. The Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko, representatives of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov and Vladimir Kozhin and the well-known sports stars such as Alina Kabaeva and Tataina Navka will speech at the ceremony.
The event is expected to draw Russian sports stars in the likes of, Nikolai Valuev, Maria Kiseleva, Fedor Emelianenko and
Evgeni Plushenko along with other sports colleagues and friends of Alexei Nemov, a four-time Olympic champion. Some of them have already been interviewed by Nemov himself as by newly-made Editor-in-Chief of BOLSHOI Sport, one of the largest local sports publications.
