The civil case that police and Plu lawyer offered is not an option. It would end up with the court statement that the operation indeed took place and that is all. Who needs it? I mean is there any idiot who doesn't know that the operation did happen? At least two Russian sport commentators in similar cases lost in civil trials (Guberniev and Utkin). They both are working as sport commentators now. Meaning- criminal trial would mean way more for this social garbage representatives and the consequances of that. :ze_le_ny:

Lotus, по-поводу дебильного закона- в точку. Не вдаваясь в подробности, разница между гражданским иском о защите чести и уголовным преследованием за клевету по российскому законодательству такова: в гражданке- ответчик доказывает правдивость сведений (либо не может доказать- платит ущерб), в уголовке- публичный либо частный обвинитель доказывает что лицо знало то, что сведения являются ложными. Было видео на ютюбе (сейчас удалено уже) где Журанков говорил, мол откуда я мог достоверно знать, что операция была. Я типа что, его медицинскую карту читал, и т.д. и т.п. То есть формулировка закона такова, что позваляет журанковым весто себя таким образом. И это определённый тест для судебной власти как они купятся или нет на этy демагогию. Я к тому, что как я понимаю частное обвинение в уголовном порядке видимо будет. Вот и посмотрим.

Vaitsekhovskaya wasn't in the arena. I haven't seen her at all. And I was there for 4 days sharp. I found out only from the Internet that she was in Tokyo. I simply didn't see her. Я только из форумов узнала, что Вайцеховская была в Токио. За четыре дня я её ни разу не видела на трибуне. А видела я много кого- Мишина, Шеховцову, Фладе, Муру-папу и т.д. Её- и разу. Вообще. It's a documentary about communal apartments in St-Petersburg. Zhenya had to rent the cheapest of them for 4 years. He was 11yo when he with his mother came to St-Petersburg to train in Mishin's group. (And now you see the guy in LV jacket driving Benz and remembering some episodes from his past life :plush45: ). You can see the reconstruction of some lifestyle in those apartments, with drunks, fights, profanity language, rats, mice, etc. Plu said that the landlady periodically used to check out their room when they were not at home (she had the key). So, Plu tied thin strings on doorsteps and by this he could see if someone had attended their room when they were out or not (at 8.38). Smart boy! :co_ol:

Plu choice is extremely mature. He is the only one in the current field who could pull it. But some moments are too Slavic I would say. Sometimes judges fail to get even easier music pieces in terms of international-thinking, like Dai's Blues. I do not really understand the fuss. Yes it is unfortunate that Russia passed such law, but the law itself does not really against being gay people but gay propaganda (I think especially towards minors who are more vulnerable to various ideas).

And it is kind of domestic affair, like if you go to a middle-east country, you should at least respect the local law. So I do not understand why they thought it would affect athletes. Unless all the these gay athletes decided to show their affection towards their partners publicly (like weir does), they would not be affected by this law :plush34:
The violation of rights take place when something granted was taken away by law. They make it sound like gay athletes were planning to come to Sochi to advertise homosexuality among minors. But now the law took this "right" away from them. The funniest part is nobody in media or pro-gay FSU realizes that by saying how bad the law that forbids propaganda of homosex among minors is, they basically portrait themselves as perverts with pedophilic issues. Speaking about a middle-east country, I don't remember any outrage in the US media or anywhere else when Qatar won the host ticket for FIFA World CUP 2022. In Qatar sodomy is a crime punishable of 1-3 years in prison. Everyone was quite about that, unike in case with Russia. No gay soccer players? Of course yes. It's just Qatar is not G8 country and doesn't mean much in global politics. Gays are simpy being used like whores by politicians when it's required, and not used when it's not.

Максим: Сначала Женя. С ним мы давно разговаривали. Он хотел, чтобы я с ним поработал, выражал желание. У меня, в связи с нашим проектом, нет времени, я не всегда в Москве. Летом хочется отдохнуть после всех гастролей, поэтому это одна из причин, почему не срослось с ним раньше, а с другой стороны - это спортсмен высочайшего уровня. На самом деле, огромная ответственность ставить ему, тем более такой важный сезон – олимпийский. Было немножечко... нет, не боязнь, но ощущался груз ответственности на плечах. У меня на компьютере стояла, она ему понравилась, навеяла какие-то воспоминания, даже какую-то ностальгию. Все-таки спорт – это наша жизнь. Когда ты уходишь после соревнований из спорта, ты, конечно, ностальгируешь, даже ломка иногда начинается, вроде надо продолжать работать, тренироваться, а это все исчезает. И, конечно, воспоминания о годах, прожитых в спорте; соревнования, борьба. Такие мысли крутятся в голове во время исполнения этой короткой программы.
Поставили короткую программу, причем Женя очень ответственно подходил к вопросу, даже когда я говорил ему – «Женя здесь у тебя уже разбег на четверной прыжок – давай уже сам». Женя говорил – «нет, нет, шагами до четверного прыжка доходим, нельзя давать шансов другим». То есть шаги, шаги, минимум беговых шагов. Он хочет быть другим по хореографии. К сожалению, я не могу с ним работать круглый год, чтобы эту хореографию поддерживать. Это уже на Жениной ответственности, ведь он будет дальше тренироваться и исполнять. Думаю, будет хорошо на самом деле.

- То есть не исключаешь возможности, что что-то выбросят?

Максим: В принципе, всегда что-то выбрасывается, переделывается. Это понятно. На первом плане будут сложнейшие четверные прыжки и комбинации, поэтому, если что-то смущает и сбивает, конечно, поменяет. Поскольку у меня на фоне Брайана и не только, опыт немножечко появился в работе с одиночниками. Я стараюсь не быть диктатором на льду, и когда Женя говорит – «мне здесь сложно, давай по-другому», - я стараюсь придумать так, чтобы устраивало всех. Если ему удобнее повернуть направо, - мы делаем поворот направо, т.е. облачаем в какую-то определенную форму. Я с ним встречался в конце июля, Женя сказал, что ему все удобно в КП. Думаю, не будет ничего выбрасывать.

- У Жубера музыка «Oblivion» в КП, у Жени тоже медленная музыка. Два одиночника, которые совершенно не в своем стиле решили катать КП.

Максим: Очень хорошо, что не их стиль, надо попытаться поменяться, быть немножко другим, они этого хотели. Женя конкретно сказал, что ему необходимо стать другим – это, во-первых. Во-вторых, у него музыка хоть и медленная, но это не значит, что она нудная. Она развивается. У него была мысль взять быструю, - мы даже начали ставить, но, когда он услышал эту музыку, захотел именно ее. Мишин, приехав посреди нашего сбора, отверг медленную и предложил ставить под быструю музыку. Через 2 дня он подошел и сказал, что чем больше слушает эту музыку, - медленную, - тем она ему больше нравится. В результате они оставили ту, которую я предложил.

- Мишин вмешивается в постановку, я имею в виду хореографию?

Максим: Мишин не может не вмешиваться. Не столько в хореографическую постановку, сколько говорит – ребята это сложно, давайте проще сделаем, мне кажется, здесь руки шире, но проще. Примерно так."

On Saturday at the Olympic "Iceberg" Russian skaters showed their short programs to specialists. The Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko did not take part in the Test Skate but he attended the event.


"-In Sochi we are having a training practice according to my individual 'recovery plan'. Everying is going fine. I am practicing my programs but mostly we are working on elements now. I have to restore the technique. As you know I went through the serious operation on my back, there's still some consequences that I have to deal with. In this regard I would like to thank the Ministry of Sports, the Russian Federation of Figure Skating and the team of doctors who gave me a chance to recover. Before training and after it I get the massage, special recovery procedures, stretching, injections, acupuncture, therapy, etc. I feel a lot better now if you take into account that I have been skating for just two months. Here in Sochi I tried to do a quad lutz. The quadruple toe loops were fine. Now we are having a slight declining break but it was predictable. There's no conspiracy that I am not participating in Test Skate. Upon my return to St-Petersburg we will continue working on 'putting' the progs together.

-You mean they are ready but you haven't got 'skated into' them yet?

-That's right. My body has to 'remember' how to breate, how to keep the body power after spins, steps, jumps, etc.

- Do you want to 'get dipped' into the competitive atmosphere again?

-There's no way back for me. I have already passed the most difficult times- recovery from the surgery and the first training sessions. The fact that for two months I could get back my triples, 3A jumps and basically a quad as well, you know... I just need more time. Right now I don't see that any of our guys showed anything extraordinary. Yes, some of them can jump, but besides that there's also skating skills, spins, charisma, Men-style choreography, etc. For now, I haven't seen it yet in 'one package'. But the fact that all participants of Test Skate- Maxim Kovtun, Artur Gachinsky, Sergei Voronov, could do quads- is really cool! They could pull themselves together and showed a very good skating. Maxim Kovtun really developed as a skater. It's very noticable. He can do two different quads, he got consistency and confidence. Good work! I was impressed by Sergei Voronov as well. He did 4T-3T and 3A perfectly well. Artur jumped quad successfully, before he had troubles with it, but at Test Skate- he did it. But if you ask me about the general impression, then none of our guys' skatings were that outstanding. There are much better skaters of high class in figure skating world, but they all live overseas and do not represent Russia.

-Here's the question that people will keep asking you- what drives you, what is your reason?

- I'm just doing my job that I love very much. I have a plan that I want to bring to the end - to skate at Sochi Olympic Games and finish my amateur career. Whether it works out or not- is another question. But I do everything I can. I am not hiding that it's really hard to wake up in the morning and feel all your body hurts. But I am a very strong person, and if I set a goal, I will do my best to get it.

- And what is lacking in your 'without big sport' life?

- I feel like I still can do something. Four years ago I was too coming back into competitions after a two-year break. Nobody really believed that I could skate at the same level. But I won all the competitions except the Vancouver Olympics, but in my opinion I won them too. Four years ago a lot fo people doubted my comeback, they brought Boitano, Browning, Viktor Petrenko as examples. Did I change the idea of figure skating and the opportuities of athletes? In a way- I did. Look, the terrific Yuna Kim did a comeback. Why? Why Daisuke Takahashi is still competing? Why Brian Joubert is still skating? Because I set the example. People changed their opinion on figure skating and now many understand that you can skate at the age of 30.
Of course I want to show good skating. Right now I haven't reached the level I want to, but as I said, I have time. In a month and a half I am planning to take part in the international competition in Riga. I have to show myself to public and get required rating points. Then, if everything is fine, I will take part in GP Rostelecom Cup in Moscow.
I know I can't "cross out" 12 operations out of my life, and the last one was the most difficult. Again nobody really believes that I can succeed, maybe I will, maybe I will not, they say. But the numbers of such doubters are getting less.

- So, you are setting the example that impossible is nothing?

- In 2007 I was with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and our delegation in Guatemala and made ​​efforts to make this Winter Olympics be held in Sochi. Seven years ago it was just the beginning. Here he mainly speaks about difficulties he had to deal with after the operation, like pain and health issues. He even wanted to give up but Mishin and Yana helped him to reconsider. Now he is doing well and ready to compete. He says it's good that it all happened at Europeans-2013. Otherwise he wouldn't have done the surgery and who knows, the same incident could have happened at more important events.

About SP he says that the prog is "his": "All movements go from within, from inside me- emotions, sufferings, love- i.e. something that I know well and can express well, I think."

About LP, the info about the music that it's gonna be used in Medley is a little different than it was announced in media before- Nijinsky with Roxanne showed up, no Tosca and no Amore. The list mentioned here is : Scheherazade (*the music was used in Nijinsky- LT), Nijinsky, The Godfather, Adagio, El Tango de Roxanne.

Both SP and LP were choreographed by Maxim Staviski and David Avdysh.

Plu was living in a sport camp together with Team Russia in Sochi for 5 days a week. For two days- with his family there.

"I miss my family very much, Sasha, Yana, boys, Egor. No medals, money or fame can be more important to me than family."- Plushenko.

"I want Sasha to be an athlete too. Engaged either in ice-hockey, soccer, golf or tennis."- Plu.

Irina's and Natalya's reports say at training he did few trixels and quads easily. His movements and lines look softer. Also, his elder son Egor with his mother attended the show.
