I liked more version, with metal "T2" behind Plushy :co_ol: .... can you make photo montage with "P4" behind Plu? :-)

The other one with T2 (which is from the original photo) behind has some problem with his neck, I cannot master PS that well to fix it (copy brush should do but I do not know why I cannot find that function...) so it looked a bit weird. I think if he is the next thing, probably should be T5. But i see, it would be his 4th return? I put P4 as you said (I made it aside to make the number "4" visible).

The thing is I just tried out random effect so I could not reproduce it...... Last attempt, the letter is not perfect, but the light problem is less pronounce......

Personally I like the one with out P4 because the lighting is more or less OK. Just saying :plush38:

I think Mishin said it best: Plushy is trying to push the boundaries of what is possible, and pioneers like that are often subject to criticism, attack and ridicule, simply because they are not understood. I agree with you, some comments sound quite sharp here and there (actually, I didn't like the journalist's comments about the other skaters because I found them a little bit "superficial" in some points) but I loved Zhenya's portrait in the first article (before the Oly I didn't know him and I liked that epic-tale style in describing him and his challenges with Alexei Yagudin), and the description of the atmosphere on that night in the second one :plush4: :plush31:

Actually I do not like his portrait of Zhenya in the first article. Yes, Yagudin won 2002 Olympics, but Plushy at that time was not a lesser skater! So the tune of the whole article turns me down. To be honest, these two articles sounds like people following FSU or GS, so Yagudin is the greatest, but 2006 Plushy is untouchable because he can jump. The part I like very much is when he describe the effect of Plushy's skate cast onto the audience. But this is my personal opinion. So do not get mad at me :smu:sche_nie:

No, not Zhurankov won the case, but Plushenko's request got rejected. It means that what Zhurankov said could not be regarded as defamation but it does not mean he is right.

I hope at least Eurosport would fire him but I do not think it will happen.

It is dangerous, so from now on, as long as they keep saying "in my opinion" everything would be just fine. (of course bashing Putin is totally another story)

I just hope all these won't affect Plushy's recovery, he expressed his position, now the most important thing for him is his health.

I think it is a PR not for Zhurankov himself but for the idea he spread. I mean who cares about him? Sure his name now is famous, but not because he said something constructive so that he would be regarded as a wise man against famous people. People is more interested whether Plushenko was lying and if he can still represent Russia to compete on Olympics. That is the PR Zhurankov is aiming at. Otherwise, he really has no motive to bring this scandal up at this tricky moment :plush34:

As a fan I'm very interested to find out more about Plushy and Mishin's strategy for Sochi. They need a very, very good one, considering how Russian skaters are performing in London. In my opinion Russian Federation totally lacks strategies for Olympics and probably they have no chance to win Team Gold as I was hoping. :plush27: I wanted so much a gold medal for Plushy in teams competion. :plush27:

Simple, use all judges from Japan and Russia, or at least eliminate all the NA judges :hi_hi_hi:

Yagudin is very realistic. Our commentators emphasized pretty much the same thing during Worlds and Euros, that in singles and dance Russia is miles away from today's standard, this is obvious to any outsider. Even my mother said it. :plush34:

What Yagudin said is probably true, just the way he said it is not encouraging. Yes, Russia should not have any illusions to achieve high placement on certain discipline(s), but that does not mean there is no hope in the future.

And what skaters do actually are not that different from what Plushy did many years ago except the emphasis on the transition parts and encourage people to put as much as possible jumps to the back to earn more points. The direction of the figure skating is changed, not so much for the technique. As long as people who truly love the sports continue fighting for it, the results will come.

Anyway, if one find the level of Russian skating is so low, just stop watching them. So simple, no need to moan or keep creating negative impressions. People are not blind, but they also have the right to dream.

На мой взгляд, тень Евгения Плющенко и постоянно обсуждаемая тема о его возвращении в спорт в данной ситуации давлеюще и негативно влияла на наших спортсменов в течение нескольких последних сезонов. И если с момента Олимпиады в Ванкувере в трех других видах у нас сформировалась хорошая и сильная команда, - и парное катание подтянулось, и женская одиночная команда сильна, и танцы подсобрались, то в мужском одиночном катании тень Жени как удав парализовала, к сожалению, не соперников наших, а нас самих. Надо с этим что-то делать. Ведь если мальчики-одиночники будут заведомо понимать, что если Женя будет здоров, то на Олимпиаду поедет именно он, это опять же не даст им нужного толчка драться за эту Олимпиаду. На сегодняшний день это очень сложный момент, но я надеюсь, что ребята перестанут быть загипнотизированными Женей Плющенко и станут бороться за путевку в Сочи в полную мощь. А Жене я желаю здоровья, возможности бороться и реализовать на Олимпиаде в Сочи все его возможности.

In some way I think he is right, because of Plushy, other skaters are too relaxed to fight for the responsibility of winning the honor for the country, they count on Plushy to save the face of Russian single men all the time. Moreover, why talk about post Vancouver when all you needed to do was to find a replacement when Plushy was gone after 2006?

Ну, и спортивный принцип при формировании сборных там главенствует. Даже если великий спортсмен находится не в лучшей форме, его прокат оценивают по факту, а не за былые заслуги. У нас же к былым заслугам относятся с высочайшим пиететом. Как иначе воспринимать слова Горшкова о том, что он не может запретить Плющенко участвовать в командных и личных соревнованиях в Сочи, если Евгений того пожелает? Может быть, тогда и формирование сборной провести SMS-голосованием, организацию которого поручить Яне Рудковской?

I cannot understand why this B**** is qualified as a journalist. If she can be a journalist, we do not need to believe a word from her and all quotes she gave here. Since she will definitely ignore those positive response to make her point. ::yaz-yk:

I guess what she meant is team medal is the effort of whole team instead of depending heavily on stars (you can have average but very good skaters to achieve good results from all disciplines therefore win the team competition).

The second point she made is she doubts how far the "stars" will go for the team event since they probably will reserve some strength for their single competitions.

However, her points are not really valid (not a big surprise to us :hi_hi_hi: ): the rules require countries attending team event send their top players (of course, if they have more than one spot in the single event, they are allowed to have two skaters staking SP and LP respectively). So if Russia would not bring their top skaters into the team event, they have no chance of medal.

Regarding how much the skaters will reserve their strength for the individual competition, skaters from other countries will also face the same problem. I think Russia is likely to try to get the team gold and gold for pairs. Other disciplines, Russia does not have clear advantage. (judging from how Chan's PCS is given, I doubt that Plushy can beat him :kli_ny: )

My theory is that Plushy is a friend of Nemov who knows which type of car Nemov drives and loves it. If he is Nemov's driver then in the end, he should be the one behind the wheel
