I think Zhenya doesn't need to go to Canada. If Russia has only 1 spot, then he will fight for it. The young guys do need more spots.
Even if he would be beaten by someone younger guy, it's his fate, I'll accept it.

TBH, I'm worried only about Zhenya. I just don't wanna see that Zhenya alone will be in Chanada

C'mon!!! Evgeni is professional, besides he skated in Canada before , at 2001 Worlds and several times at Skate Canada. Why should be worried because he's skating there? Good athlets skate and win no matter where the competion is held, in Canada, Moon, Mars, etc.

I am not worried that Plushy will skate in Canada. Remember the gala at Vancouver 2010? How much pressure he was under in those days, but he skated the perfect Je Suis Malade and brought everyone to their feet! It is like he was fighting against the rest of the world, and he persevered!

In Vancouver 2010, Chan was not even close to the podium (nor any other Canadian skater 2001) ... now, when the Canadian public think that Chan is the best skater EVER - Plushy will have "no chance" for a fair and objective attitude towards him - nor by judges, even with the presence of any "sympathy" from the local audience - do not forget that Canadian audiences never cheer against their own athletes ... unlike the Russian

... also, the whole atmosphere around Plushy in Canadian media will be MUCH worse than at the Olympics



P.S. I am totally indifferent to Artur - just watch him more and more, as a rival to Plushy

Detroit SC coach Pasquale Camerlengo will travel to Russia in two weeks to choreograph the competitive programs that 2006 Olympic men's champion Evgeni Plushenko will use next season.

In a text today to the Free Press, Camerlengo said he will be choreographing both Plushenko's short and long programs. The skater trains in St. Petersburg, Russia with longtime coach Alexei Mishin. Camerlengo will be gone for about 10 days, he said.

Maybe you're right Cekoni. But you don't forget what's happened in Nice. The ISU knows, what is the opinion of the majority of FS fan. The ISU has to be careful if you don't want a scandal again. If Evgeni will be perfect , he will do two great programs and Chan won't be perfect, as usual , all it will be possible. But i think, Yuzuru will be great opponent of them, as Evgeni and Patrick are opponents to each other( Sorry my english )

Do you really believe ISU considers "that" is the voice of majority? I think ISU might think "That is just Japanese and French's opinions." (Moreover, to them France is a country that associated to the famous judging scandal in 2002. When France and Russia were beaten by Canada and USA medias. )
Chan follows the rule and keeps winning. No matter audience love/hate Chan. And it's not sin. He deserves victories this season. Even if all humans did "boooo" against Chan, judges had to give him the gold medal. Because there is a rule that was influenced by NA lobby next season Worlds will be held in Canada. That rules says "the skater radiates the energy resulting in an invisible connection with the audience." We all know what connection Chan established with the audience and yet he got the highest mark in PR. The only rule by which Chan won was- not to apply the ISU rules when Chan is involved (thanks to David Dore).

They cant risk having one spot for Sochi, the host country always want to represent well, and besides russia has such tradition to fs, send only one man like it is Philipinnes or sth? Plush withdrew from 2005, didnt skate in 2009 , if he doesnt go in 2013 RF will be mad, it is their only hope, the RF president said it very very clear in the interview last week.
