Well, this thread is for creative works, and although this is not a video or graphic, it is pretty creative... I hope you guys like it!
I read a great fable by Aesop and thought it was very appropriate to Zhenya and so I decided to write a fable of my own, with the same moral:
Once upon a time, a figure skater named Evgeni Plushenko decided to show off his skills in the faraway city of Vancouver. There, another skater named Evan Lysacek decided to show off his own skills, and got to work. Evgeni skated with zeal and passion. The conservative Evan finished his performances quickly, and boasted to Evgeni:
"Just look at my performance," Evan boasted, gesturing to the replay of his performance, "and see how grand and delicate it is. You cannot but acknowledge that I'm a much better skater than you. See how quickly I perform my elements."
"Yes," Evgeni replied with a nod, "but hush up, for you bother me. Your programs are designed only to fit into the scoring system, and are forgotten whenever they are seen, and brushed away as meaningless; while mine are always remembered and treasured."
The moral of the story: "True art is thoughtful, delights, and endures."
The fable that inspired me:
The Silkworm and The Spider:
