21 мая в центре "Боулинг Сити" состоится заключительный тур состязаний "Лига чайников" по боулингу, а затем - полуфинальные и финальные встречи.

Кроме того, в рамках церемонии закрытия турнира пройдет выставочный матч между двумя командами, составленными из представителей фигурного катания: многократный чемпион мира и Европы Евгений Плющенко и олимпийский чемпион Алексей Урманов, с одной стороны, и заслуженный тренер СССР Алексей Мишин и президент Федерации фигурного катания Санкт-Петербурга Олег Нилов - с другой.

Программа дня:
11:00 Матчи заключительного 11 тура "Лиги чайников"
13:00 Выставочный матч: Евгений Плющенко и Алексей Урманов против Алексея Мишина и Олега Нилова
13:30 Полуфинальные встречи "Лиги чайников"
15:00 Финал и награждение лауреатов "Лиги чайников".

- That is really special for me to come back to Budapest. Ten years ago, I was very young and I have so many good memories. It was the beginning of my story, the first title. At that time, I was very relaxed, I did not have any pressure. on me. I just wanted to win everything, every title, and wanted to be a heroe such as Plushenko. Then I had a “not so bad” career, with two others European titles and one World gold medal. I had some bad moments too, but what makes me proud is these ten years I got through.

Who would have thought in Vancouver that of all the men's podium finishers, Plushenko could be only one returning to Olympics.

I don't know...I think the Japanese Federation has said that the selection for Sochi will not be dependent only on the Japanese Nationals, but also upon the GP results and other factors. Given Takahashi's standing and his results in the GP series, they probably will still send him.

Maybe, but his GP was long ago and after that he had problem with injury... we will see, anyway

Новоиспеченный 18-летний победитель чемпионата России Максим Ковтун в интервью обозревателю "СЭ" Елене ВАЙЦЕХОВСКОЙ вернулся к турниру в Сочи и своему соперничеству с Евгением Плющенко. Уступив олимпийскому чемпиону Турина в короткой программе – 93,08 против 98,41, Ковтун обошел прославленного ветерана в произвольной – 174,05 против 162,96 (в итоге – 267,13 и 261,37 соответственно).

– После короткой программы был очень недоволен, что сделал ошибки, – сказал Ковтун. – И не очень, если честно, понял оценки за компоненты, которые поставили Евгению Плющенко. Я потом посмотрел протокол – в нем были столбики, где у Евгения стояли одни "десятки". Мне кажется, такие оценки могут быть выставлены только за выдающийся прокат, который люди помнят всю свою жизнь. Понимаю, что это политика – ставить на национальных чемпионатах такие баллы, чтобы мир содрогался. Как это было в Японии в короткой программе Юдзуру Ханю. Хотя сейчас мне уже все равно. Я просто рад, что стал первым. Это был не только мой последний шанс выиграть у Плющенко, но и мечта: не просто победить на чемпионате страны, но сделать это достойно. Очень-очень хотелось. Ну и сложившийся стереотип, что в России кроме Плющенко больше нет одиночников, на самом деле очень обиден.
