I have the impression that the surgery in May was not actual knee surgery but intrajoint injections of a substance that ensures good function, lubrication and alleviation of pain for the joint.
That's a standard procedure for people with overused knee joints (e.g. athletes) and it's also risk-free
- actual knee surgery takes A LOT of time to heal (MONTHS)and is quite risky if you are not being operated by the "Nuereyef" of surgeons...BUT, that's my impression again. You obviously have much more data concerning this subject.
