Clairdelalune, you obviously deliberately do not want to understand the point ... on Plushenko's official forum you can cheer for all the other skaters.... but when you mention Plushy in context with others, he is on the first place - all "predictions" and cheering for victory are dedicated only to him!

Are you serious? Are you affiliated with FSU? But Evgeni is ineligible, he is not competing, what is gonna to happen with this site when he retires????? How can I say Plushy will win if he doesn´t compete???

Evgeni is ineligible just till this spring ( ) and his fans gonna be rooting for him in Sochi . Of course everything can happen but nothing will change my rooting for Plush until he himself declares about his retiring. So I don't like the jokes about Chan's Olympic gold medal in Sochi too

God forbid! Personally I doubt Chan will win gold medal in Sochi, but I can´t take such a "prediction" seriously because we don´t even know who will compete in Sochi Olympics. I can´t possibly believe Evgeni´s fans won´t support him in Sochi, I know people who aren´t his fans but they are excited to see him competing and winning.

Agreed. Chan have a good program in Canadien Nat Champ. Congrat to him. Even he isn't great skater. Maybe he will be great. As Cekoni wrote: "when Chan jumped more than 10 quads and do not fall in at least 3 consecutive competition - I will consider him for a possible competitor to Zhenya"
We are real Evgeni's fans need believe in him, but we know he will be 31y.o. in Sochi. If he won't win.... no matter... because every new competition of Evgeni, gift for us. His talent, his personality... no one comparable with him. I don't forget, what i'm feeling since 1998, when i saw him at first, and he was 15. y.o.!!

Of course there are new great skaters, and i see that. But as Mishin said:" I think there hasn't been yet a figure skater in the world, who has such a wide diapason of creativity as Evgeni. That’s what makes him absolutely unique in modern figure skating."
He was, he is, and he will be the greatest for me,this is the reason why I'm here.( Sorry, my comment became too long,and sublime. )

This is exactly the reason we are all here in this forum anyway
The unique Zhenya charisma.
The passion, the power, the sweetness, the humour.
All that Plushy becomes when he's skating.
I totally agree with "father" Mishin and totally agree with all that you have written lala.
And another thing about the age of 31 .................................this is Plushino at 31 we are talking about, ladies and gentlemen.
Some men are like wine...they become better with age.
And another thing : In athletics, in war and in love...anything is possible.

P.S. Our Greek sportscaster in figure skating (he's been on the job since the 1980's) said during the last Europeans that figureskating NEEDS Zhenya because he is the one who brings people to the competitions and ATTRACTS the public. Very true I must say.

That's true. This is my experience too. When Evgeni competed In Vancouver in my workplace many people told, they got up very early because they wanted to watch Evgeni in live. I was really surprised, because they weren't FS's fans, and they didn't use to watch the Fs competitions!!!!

Стефан Ламбьель готов помочь Гачинскому поработать над вращениями

Санкт-Петербург, 7 марта. Вице-чемпион Олимпийских игр-2006 по фигурному катанию швейцарец Стефан Ламбьель поставил короткую программу для японца Дайсукэ Такахаси. Готов фигурист помочь и ученику Алексея Мишина Артуру Гачинскому, если такая помощь понадобится. Об этом Ламбьель рассказал корреспонденту «БалтИнфо».

После не слишком удачного выступления на Олимпийских играх в Ванкувере, где Стефан Ламбьель занял четвертое место, он принял решение окончательно завершить любительскую карьеру. Фигурист не поддался уговорам вернуться на лед даже накануне «домашнего» чемпионата Европы, который в январе этого года проходил в швейцарском Берне. У себя на родине Ламбьель выступил в роли комментатора и интервьюера.

«Это был очень интересный для меня эксперимент. Я имел возможность общаться с разными фигуристами, тренерами и другими специалистами фигурного катания. Общался с танцевальным дуэтом из России Еленой Ильиных и Никитой Кацалаповым. Считаю, что у ребят большое спортивное будущее, - признался корреспонденту «БалтИнфо» Ламбьель. – Кроме того, я начал работать как хореограф, ставлю программы действующим фигуристам. И выступаю в различных шоу».

В свое время Стефан Ламбьель стажировался у Алексея Мишина, с которым работал над прыжковыми элементами. В то же время у учеников легендарного тренера нередко возникают проблемы с коронными для Стефана вращениями и дорожками шагов. Швейцарский фигурист признался, что мог бы поработать с Артуром Гачинским над этими элементами.

«Артур Гачинский – очень молодой фигурист. У него большой потенциал, но ему необходимо работать над всеми компонентами – хореографией, прыжками, вращениями. Если ему будет нужна моя помощь, я готов с ним поработать, - признался Ламбьель. - Что касается Евгения Плющенко, у него есть своя харизма. Да и уровень мастерства таков, что я не знаю, чем мог бы ему помочь».

Напомним, что Стефан Ламбьель на Олимпийских играх в Турине уступил пальму первенства Евгению Плющенко, став серебряным призером соревнований. Спустя четыре года Ламбьель не смог повторить достижение и оказался за чертой призеров. После этого фигурист объявил об окончании любительской карьеры. В Петербург Стефан Ламбьель приехал, чтобы принять участие в шоу, посвященном 70-летию Алексея Мишина.
