Live play-by-play coverage: Four Continents men's free skate: http://www.examiner.com/figure-skating- ... free-skateQUAD COUNT: 9 attempted (Rakimgaliev toe, Song toe, Rippon sal, Reynolds sal, Machida toe, Takahashi toe, Chan toe, toe, DTen toe), 3 clean (Reynolds, Chan, Chan)
Ross Miner USA - The Untouchables - triple axel (not as big as usual, but gets it done), triple axel-double toe, triple lutz-triple toe (steps out), triple salchow-double toe-double loop, triple lutz (fall), double loop, double axel (step out covered up sorta), triple flip (two-foot) - too bad for Miner, the bronze was within reach, but the fall on the lutz and then the doubled loop sealed the deal for Rippon (OR NOT! wow) - TES 73.04, PCS 74.30, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 146.34, TOTAL SCORE 223.23
Takahito Mura JPN - double toe, triple lutz-triple toe (just barely), triple axel (step out), triple flip, triple axel-double toe, double salchow, triple loop, double flip - TES 62.16, PCS 71.56, FS SCORE 133.72, TOTAL SCORE 217.16
Denis Ten KAZ - double toe, quad toe (two-foot, fall), triple axel-triple toe (nice), double lutz-half loop-triple salchow, triple loop (hangs on), triple flip-double toe, double axel, single flip - some nice moments, too bad about the popped jumps, but he's definitely a better skater this year mentally - TES 63.22, PCS 70.08, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 132.30, TOTAL SCORE 210.03
Patrick Chan CAN - Concerto de Aranjuez - quad toe-triple toe (nice), quad toe, triple axel (just hangs on), triple lutz-half loop-triple salchow (hangs on), triple loop (solid), triple flip, triple lutz (foot down), double axel - well done, no one is going to beat that program tonight - TES 95.83, PCS 90.16, FS SCORE 185.99, TOTAL SCORE 273.94
Daisuke Takahashi JPN - quad toe (two-foot, but looked rotated), single axel, triple salchow, this circular step sequence uses the voids of the music so well, triple axel-triple toe (ekes it out but the toe could be underrotated), triple flip-double toe, triple loop (possibly underrotated), triple lutz-double toe-double loop (hops around a bit on the landing of the third jump), triple flip - some questionable landings, we will have to see if they are clean, door is wide open - TES 76.88, PCS 84.86, FS SCORE 161.74, TOTAL SCORE 244.33
Tatsuki Machida JPN - Don Quixote - quad toe (fall), single axel-double toe, triple loops (lands on the inside edge but hangs on one foot), triple axel (right on the beat), triple lutz-double toe-double loop, double flip, single lutz, triple salchow-single toe - that's a whole lot popped jumps and a lot of points given away - TES 56.91, PCS 69.76, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 125.67, TOTAL SCORE 208.04
Jeremy Ten CAN - triple axel (fall), double lutz (foot down), triple toe (ouch fall, you could hear the splatter), spread eagle into triple loop (fall), triple lutz (hangs on), double axel (hangs on again), triple salchow, single flip - a beautifully sensitive program, really rough skate though - TES 37.13, PCS 63.72, FALLS -3.00, FS SCORE 97.85, TOTAL SCORE 159.22
Misha Ge UZB - triple axel (two-foot, fall out, possibly underrotated), triple flip (nice), triple lutz-triple toe, triple lutz, triple flip-double toe, triple loop, triple salchow-double toe, double axel - good skate from Ge, not sure if I've seen him put two programs together ini competition quite like this before - TES 63.04, PCS 69.00, FS SCORE 132.04, TOTAL SCORE 196.53
...
Kevin Reynolds CAN - quad salchow (looked clean), double toe, triple axel (two-foot), double loop, double flip (way tilted in the area, fall), double axel-triple toe-double toe, triple lutz (hangs on), triple salchow-triple toe - TES 66.74, PCS 69.30, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 135.04, TOTAL SCORE 203.26
Adam Rippon USA - quad salchow (underrotated at least, fall), triple axel-double toe, triple loop, single axel, triple flip-triple toe (solid!), speed into triple lutz-half loop-triple salchow (looked clean!), Rippon triple lutz, double axel - looked so strong in the second half there, too bad about that popped axel - TES 73.41, PCS 74.22, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 146.63, TOTAL SCORE 221.55
...
Richard Dornbush USA - triple toe (was a quad attempt, but bailed out, fall out and hand down), triple lutz (foot down), single axel, single axel, hydroblade into triple salchow-double axel sequence, triple flip, single flip, single loop - wow, there was barely any timing in any of his jumps, it's really quite a shame ... it was even worse than his skate at Nationals - TES 41.49, PCS 62.46, FALL -1.00, FS SCORE 102.95, TOTAL SCORE 164.29
