Насколько я помню, Женя никогда не занимался балетом специально. Когда он еще был ребенком, в 11-12 лет кажется, и занимался в группе Мишина, одна балерина предложила ему перейти в балет, видя его способности. Он подумал, посоветовался с мамой. Она сказала - решай сам, ты уже взрослый. И он выбрал фигурное катание Но у фигуристов есть класс хореографии в занятиях и также постановщики его программ многих - артисты балета, отсюда и его стиль. Doll, let me add a few refinements to the funny picture: classic black japanese wigs , pockets overflowing with hidden goodies for Plushy (little presents, teddy bears, lovepoems, music cds....ouzo), crazy fluo flip flops and....of course ....someone has to have a bloody camera for the occasional picture!

I think it would be great fun to all gather together and see him live. We really should try it some time. Perhaps next year? A "meet up" if you will. Lots of fun!
I'm off to San Francisco tomorrow to visit a friend and see my favorite singer Rob Halford live. I will be back next week. Until then, keep all of the beautiful photos coming and keep me posted on any breaking news about Zhenya.

I´ve talked to a friend of mine, she is a new Plushy fan and she is ballerina, and I´ve told her that Plushy also had ballet training but she would like to know more about this subject, for how many years did he practice ballet, why did he quit, what´s his opinion about the importance of ballet in FS, etc. Where can I find information, articles, interviews, etc, in any language?

I also wanted to hear more about that, I'm glad you're bringing it up, maybe someone more informed can tell us! After Katia uploaded the videos about Evgeni on Facebook, I uploaded them on Youtube. How's everything with you? I hope all's well I should go back a few pages in this topic and read what else you've been talking about! Yesterday I saw Clair's comment on ballet and wanted to reply quickly and then I had to leave, but now I'll look at the rest of the forum to get updated.

Oh, I wish...my study is completely stuck, I'm really getting desperate now, it seems my mind is blocked...at least now I managed to get rid of all the physical pain I was feeling, som let's see if this helps me finally move forward again!! I wasn't here these days because my internet had some inexplicable problem - well, it's explicable (the incompetence of the phone companies ), but still, it really made me miss you guys and also I don't really know what's going on in Plushy world - I've just seen he twitted a lot these days, but there's too much to read...anything interesting/new?

Hehehe I have a problem with avatars, I like to change them a lot I think Facebook is the only place where I don't change it, because it's easier for people to recognize it's still you, even if you change your user name (which I don't do often, but once I had to do it).

I am really sorry your study is at a difficult point . Can't your surpervising professor suggest anything that might help? I had a very supportive teacher when I was doing my Master's and in addition to that the professor had a very helplful assistant-so I managed to get through. However , that was an exception and not the rule. I am sure it will work out !
Meanwhile, some posts back you sent that beautiful text by Nikolai Gogol. That was "genial" as the French say.Thank you for such an open-minded creative touch in our semi-serious discussion about noses!
Plushy world is doing just fine! Japan is a major hit for Zhenya. He is something like....the skating Beatles over there. The audience is very enthusiastic and is showering him with gifts and adoration.
Needless to say you and I ....we don't live in Japan....

Well, yes, my teacher probably has a lot of suggestions that might help me (he has no assistant, though...sniifff!), but the thing is, I made a mistake...he said he wanted to talk to me, and I told him I'd only talk to him as soon as I finished my chapter. And now I can't finish the chapter He's gonna say "Silly girl, I told you I wanted to talk to you, why didn't you take my offer??" - but I'm a little bit stubborn, I thought I could do it on my own...I probably can, but I'm just so tired, you know? Let's see if some inspiration will come...I only have one week left. Then I'll talk to him, no matter what.

Oh, I had totally forgotten about Gogol and the nose discussion!!!! hahhahahha I just couldn't contain myself, since we're talking about a Saint-Petersburguian nose here I don't understand why some people don't like Plushy's nose! I don't think it's big, I think it looks bigger whenever Plushy is thinner, that's all. Plus, it has a beautiful shape and it goes very well with the other traits of his face. I've seen people who had their noses surgically changed (because they thought it was too big or too crooked or too whatever), and the final result, while "physically" more "perfect", was aesthetically not so good!! Sometimes the "perfect" nose doesn't go well with a face, because the proportions aren't good, they just don't match!! Sometimes a bigger nose makes up for a smaller lip, or for some other trait. I don't like my nose much (especially in profile, ugh), but I'd never ever change it - first of all, because it's right in the middle of your face: imagine if something goes wrong, you won't be able to hide it!!! LOLLL

Yes, I've seen a little bit of the topics on Zhenya in Japan, wow, he really seems to be like a Beatle there, how crazy!!!! Which is good in one sense, because he feels loved and gets those many kilos of presents, but...oh Plushy, please come to Brazil, I promise nobody is going to harrass you here (except for me, of course )!!!! Dominique, we have to campaign for shows in Greece, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico and the many other countries he's never been to (except on vacation...*rolls eyes* I told you he was going to Greece!!!).

I'm sorry to hear about your knee pain - see, that's what happens when you do so many quads... Yes, yes, you definitely need to go see that knee doctor in Germany!!! I heard his name is Dr. Ivanov But back in 2005 he operated in Munich in Dr Mushavec’s clinic, so...you'll have to find out where exactly to go!! hahaha But Dominique, your strategy is wrong...since it's just a little time in the waiting room, it shouldn't be such a subtle approach, it should be more like: "Oh, you have a knee problem? What a coincidence, me too! Let's see if your problem is the same as mine..." (then you can either take his hand and put it over your knee, or feel his knee with your own hands )
