Yes. Plushy skated on his 2-3 shows in 2004/2005... but as "Let's talk" wrote - Plushy refused to become his "puppet". :mi_ga_et:

Can Montenegro win this year at Eurovision, as Russia 2008? :-)

Sergej Cetkovic - Moj Svijet (Montenegro) First Rehearsal :

Actually - not figure skating, than roller skating... :mi_ga_et:
Montenegro: A strong ballad with figure skating:

During his first rehearsal, Sergej was obviously focused on his warm and strong vocal performance, that he is know about especially in the neigbouhring countries. Nevertheless, he won’t be alone on the Eurovision stage. Besides two male backing vocalists, once in a while during the performance, Jelena Stanisavljević, a figure skater from Serbia :sh_ок: ;;-))) is also being in the focus of Sergej’s love story.

LOL yes, I remember the Crystal Skate award. Specifically, the one in 2010, when Plushy had a big lead in the online vote for favorite skater, then the vote count of others suddenly increased past him :-) They also changed the rules mid-vote to bar non-Russian IP's, except as Russian fans found out, IP addresses in Russia did not seem to work, either :ps_ih: They still ended up giving Evgeni an award, though Avebukh was "disappointed at Zhenya" that he only accepted the award and did not skate in the award show...

(Sorry, I guess I can be rather vindictive. What can I say, the incident left quite an impression on me)

Yes, we know and then everything about this award, but still voted - in principle and in spite of his "favorites". :)-(:
... and if you remember, then he did not presented award to Plushy, but the Deputy Minister of Sports :hi_hi_hi:

Woah, really? That's hilarious! If either of you have an (English) link covering the entire incident, I'd be delighted to read it. This guy makes his own award, politics it into a national award, then can't stand the fact that the winner isn't who he wanted it to be, so he (essentially) bans everyone from voting? Oh, and can't even bring himself to present the award. Then criticizes Zhenya for not skating at the award show--I mean, who'd skate at your show after you manipulated the votes (I suspect Zhenya didn't care about the award anyway, so it was good of him to even go to the ceremony)?

A petty guy like this really shouldn't criticize Zhenya for the "good, average skater" comment. Fairly harmless (and true) remark vs. Averbukh's shenanigans.

In this topic you have all our posts - around 15-20 pages :-)
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=55&start=170#p37642
and here media reports about awarding: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=145&start=140#p40004
... use Google translator if you dont understand russians posts, although i think that my "summaries and digests" on english will be enough :mi_ga_et:

P.S. I completely forgot :sh_ок: :smu:sche_nie: - that except against Averbukh, then we fought and against Piseev and Russian Skating Federation :kli_ny: .... Plushy was then "out of favor", because of his criticism of officials (who have even disqualified him from competition, in conjunction with ISU) :plush43: :ze_le_ny:

Wow, I can only say... what a weird, weird poll.

And yeah, I know about the whole disqualification situation. Even Plushy's haters were completely baffled. I mean, why would you ban the only skater in your country who had a chance to medal? Guess medals must've been anathema to Piseev... And he later passed the disease onto the men at Sochi, hence the free skate where they all fell down... ;)
