Spanish villages!! That's funny!!! Here we say "It's all Greek to me" or "It all sounds Chinese (or Japanese or Russian) to me", things like that...my mother's generation used to use "russian" to refer to very blond people (like Plushy ) (the expression is "(s)he's very russian") - but nowadays very few young people even know this expression anymore...a much more common expression is "a coisa ficou russa", which literally means "things (or the situation) got russian" - it means things got difficult/caught on fire hehhehehe Probably because of the Russian Revolution??
