Oh, I'm sorry to hear that...I hate it when people spread rumours and it turns out none of it is true, grrr... :plush43: You get your hopes up for nothing!! But again, Plushy already went on summer vacations in Turkey, so who knows, you might meet him by accident somewhere and at least ask for a photograph :mi_ga_et:

if he comes here on a vacation i can imagine myself following him like a crazy fan :-)

I had pain on my back and shoulders too Sosol,so i know how horrible it could be.They advised me to do pilates exercises,as a physical therapy. It worked, but as you say it is very time consuming and needs concentration (which i have none) so after i quit doing the exercises the pain came back :-(
I don't know what to say,i hope you would find a solution for it...

Coping with stress is the hardest thing to do :du_el: :plush36: Maybe watching Evgeni's videos more often will help. :-):

Don't stalk and scare the poor man, Aysu!!!! :-) Remember those pictures of him in a swimming pool? I think those were from his 2003 trip to Turkey during summer. Also the ones with Uliana (his ex-girlfriend), I think.

Yes, it's always like this, your body gets better with exercise, but as soon as you stop, it's like you're a 70-year-old invalid again :hi_hi_hi: :ny_tik: I used to go to gym 3 times a week, and I exercised for 3 hours those 3 days. But then there's the time to go and come back from gym - which means AT LEAST another hour, depending on the traffic. Then there's shower before and shower after...another hour!!! LOL So...5 hours each day!!!! That's too much!!! I felt good, naturally, but my university tasks were very much delayed because of those...and then some months before my deadline, I had to stop gym completely, and my body suffered a lot because of it!! So, this time I didn't come back to gym - and my body's suffering as well ::yaz-yk:

I never tried pilates, maybe one day...I do go once a week to my RPG treatment - it's a postural treatment. It makes me feel good for 2 days, but the other 5 days of the week I'm crappy again! hehe The woman who treats me tells me I should stretch (arms, legs, neck, back...) at least 3 times a day - but, AGAIN, I'm usually so busy I don't remember or don't have time to stretch, I only remember at the end of the day when my body's already a wreck ::yaz-yk:

Ah, yes, the Evgeni videos...how do you think I've been able to write those 50 pages in the past month? :mi_ga_et: They also make me lose a lot of time, hahahah, but they're very useful :smu:sche_nie:

Well natural scientist...your English is I could say faultless! :co_ol:
Thanks for your kind remarks anyway. :smu:sche_nie:
What is a natural scientist, if I am not being too nosy??

Natural science: biology, physics, mathematics, ... In my case - I studied physics, worked some time at the university in research and now I mainly teach math, physics and astronomy at university. This is more compatible to being a mother than doing research.

Quite right!!! Even though it sounds a little non-feministic the plain truth is that if you have kids you can't be locked in a laboratory all day chasing experiments and writing articles for scientific journals. That's unfortunately reality. :a_g_a:
One of my closest friends here in Greece is also a Physics teacher and I come from a family in which EVERYONE has studied chemistry and some are also teaching it at the University (Organic chemistry and chemistry of polymers). So I have a strong gene-related affinity to "natural sciences" but not a very strong intellectual one.... :plush38:

Sosol, sorry again for this belated response- things are rather hectic here and will be more hectic in the following few days :sh_ок:
Anyway, I used to go to the gym too and actually did some personal training which was wonderful because I had no soreness or muscle problems BUT... you are right. Time-wise it was impossible. Drive there, change, shower e.t.c. NO WAY! :kli_ny:
The only way to overcome back pain is to reinforce the ABDOMINAL MUSCLES which support the spinal skeleton. :plush37:
A nice and non traumatic way to do that is to swim often. I don't know if your PhD sosol allows you any time for swimming....
Last but not least: Brazil is doing great at the Mundial!!

P.S.1 I will try to write a more thorough post regarding poetry next week - coz I am little short of time now
P.S.2 I am VERY, VERY, VERY upset about Plushy's suspension like you. Absolutely furious :plush43: :plush43: :plush43:

........ :plush39: :plush33: :plush31: :plush32: :ki_ss: :ki_ss: :ki_ss:
I will try to keep him with me until all the rest of you come over for pictures and autographs (sosol, aysu, darkstar, clairedelalune, dimi, darina, doll.....)
I will give him OUZO and more OUZO so you will have plenty of time to come over.
Don't worry friends :co_ol: :co_ol:

P.S. However, it's a slim chance....

Thank you Dominique!!!! :hi_hi_hi: But if you give him ouzo he won't be able to skate!! Although...it IS for a good cause... :plush31:

Yeah, the abdominal muscles...you're very right (unfortunately!!). I used to work them out all the time, and now they're as weak and flacid as - let me stop here before I embarass myself ::yaz-yk: I have a problem with swimming, that's why I don't do that. I used to swim when I was a kid and then one day I tried to save someone who was drowning and almost drowned myself!!!! Thank God I didn't... :plush47: I was very little (I was 10) and the woman I helped was extremely fat, and nobody had taught me how to rescue a person properly, so she kept pulling me down desperately and was on top of me all the time - to make things worse, that day I had a cold, so my nose was blocked. I couldn't get out of there, couldn't breath...it was terrible. In the end, both of us were ok, I managed to make it and take her into safety but I never wanted to swim again ever since. Sure, I go to the beach normally, I go to swimming pools, etc, but I don't swim anymore, it was very traumatic :sh_ok:

Ahh, that explains why your nickname is Dark Star :-): Wow, math, physics and astronomy??? Now I'm a little afraid of you!!! :plush44: Those are the sciences I never understood. They're more traumatic to me than the swimming episode! :hi_hi_hi: I almost failed three times at school because of Physics and Math...because all my life I tried to understand them, and then when I was in highschool I decided to adopt a more realistic approach and gave up on them completely ::yaz-yk: I've erased any knowledge I had acquired from my brain, and nowadays, if you ask me how much 1+1 is, I'll probably say it depends... :-) And don't even dare ask me what a square root is, I only remember the little symbol similar to a "V" and have no idea what it's about, and why it even exists ::yaz-yk:

I didn't even think Brazil was getting as far as this point in the Mundial, I have to say I'm surprised and starting to believe we might have a chance (especially if Argentina falls *mwahahahah!!*). But one of our best players got badly injured during the match against Côte d'Ivoire (and the damn judge didn't even see it, or pretended not to see!!! :plush43: I hate judges....), so...I'm still not very confident, even why Argentina and Germany are playing better than us. And Holland is pretty much at the same level as us, which worries me a little.

Oh, don't even get me started on the Plushy affair...ARGHGHHGHGHGHHGHGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Still, I think ISU will reinstate him, sooner or later. They can't afford to lose him and us (= the figure skating public).
